Royal Tea Parties Brought to Your Castle
Booking: Parties can be booked weekdays, weekends, or holidays (except New Year’s Day, Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving) for the same low price. To ensure you get the date you prefer, try to book at least 4 weeks ahead of time. Last minute parties can be accommodated with 24 hour notice schedule permitting.
Payment: A $100 non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days of reserving your date. Payment can be accepted in the form of cash, money order, personal check, MC, Visa, Discover, PayPal, or bank debit. In the event of illness, family emergency or inclement weather, the party may be re-booked for another date. In rare circumstances, a refund will be given (less expenses incurred) if another date cannot be booked. The balance is due the day of the party and can be paid by cash or check. There will be a $30 returned check fee for NSF checks.
Venue: The Princess Tea Party will usually be held in your home. However, you may choose to rent a room for the occasion. The party can be held outside in a sheltered area such as a covered porch, deck, patio, carport, or pavilion (weather permitting). The outside area must be clean and dry for the party to be set up. The inside area must be clean and free of clutter. I don’t recommend using a playroom or other room with many distractions for children. Please remove all valuables from the designated party room. I cannot be held responsible for breakage, damage, or theft of any items.
Guests: Princess Tea Parties are designed for up to 8 girls between the ages of 3 and 8. Boys and older children are welcome and can be accommodated. Children under 3 may attend the party with parental supervision. Special accommodations such as plastic dishes may be substituted for those guests. All children at the party will be considered a guest (including the birthday child and siblings). A maximum of 16 children can be accommodated at the tea party. There will be an additional fee per child assessed for each guest over the first 8. A child who becomes ill, needs to use the restroom, continually misbehaves, or does not wish to participate will be need to be supervised by you or their parent. I cannot refund money for guests who were counted on the final guest list but do not show up or do not participate. Adults are welcome to observe but please remind them to keep noise and distractions to a minimum so the children may enjoy the party.
Food and Beverage: The pink lemonade may be replaced with juice if you desire. Water will be available for guests who do not care for the beverage of choice. I cannot be responsible for allergic reactions or illnesses related to the food or beverage. If a guest has a known food allergy, please ask the parents to bring a separate snack for that child. If the birthday child has a known food allergy, I can arrange the menu around her (except in the most extreme cases).
Costumes: All of the costumes are to be worn over clothing such as leotards, short sets, bathing suits, or athletic wear. At no time during the party will a child be undressed. I cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions to the costumes or accessories. Children with known skin sensitivities to certain fabrics and dyes should bring their own costume to the party. Willful destruction by any guest of any costume or accessory will be billed to you.
Party Times: The party must start on time. Those guests who arrive late can join the party at its current progress. Princess Tea Parties are scheduled for 1 1/2 to 2 hours but may end a little later or earlier depending on number and ability of guests. You will not be charged an additional fee for parties that run long and you will not receive a refund for parties that end early.
Set-up and Clean-up: The party space must be clean and clutter free prior to party set up. Following the party, I will tear down and remove all furniture and decorations brought by me. You will be responsible for any vacuuming or other cleaning of the space that may be needed. I will arrive approximately 60 minutes before the party to set up and need 30 to 45 minutes following the party for clean up.
Additional Policies: I plan these parties to be fun, safe and full of age-appropriate activities. However, in the event that a guest is injured by any means during the party, you must agree to hold me harmless. These policies may be amended at any time without notification.
These policies must be agreeable to you before final booking and payment of deposit.
